Read below a statement by the April 6 Youth, one of the organizations that take part in the Egyptian resistance movement and at the head of the protests at Tahrir Square.
The rules of the political game in Egypt has changed since January 25 – 2011, both by demonstrators protesting against the regime and also by Mubarak and his arrogant regime. Egyptian people broke the barrier of fear which they lived in Mubarak’s regime for 30 years. Egyptians now refuse the tyranny and corruption of Mubarak’s regime and will not accept to be slaves anymore.
The Egyptian regime, instead of implementing the demands of the protestors and the Egyptian people and hasten his departure and the departure of the President, began to deal with the protestors in Tahrir Square, sometimes by reason that does not actually produce anything, and sometimes create characters do not know anything about it, to speak on behalf of young protesters, in an attempt to mislead the Egyptian people, and sometimes trying to circumvent the demands of the protestors and degrade them, and sometimes falsely claims that the armed forces will not allow the departure of Mubarak, despite the fact that the majority within the institution of the armed forces, rejects the presence of Mubarak , and this is what we have observed in the streets from the support by many of the elements of the army to protect the demonstrators from the thugs, and distribution of medicines and aids on the protesters in different places.
The methods of Omar Soliman, in dealing with the protesters have become unacceptable as Egyptians won’t accept anything but justice now.
The statements made by Omar Soliman, that he won’t tolerate the presence of the protestors anymore, and that he would not tolerate the continuation of such events, is a clear threat to the protestors in Tahrir Square, and we do not accept his threat, on the contrary, the demonstrators will continue and will not stop until we overthrow this tyrant regime.
At the same time, we find that the Egyptian regime has arrested Egyptian participants in the protests, and activists and bloggers and we did not find them till now.
Today, we reaffirm our rejection of the this comic speech, made by Omar Soliman and some cartoon parties who do not represent us, in an attempt to deceive the Egyptian people, without trying to meet the demands of the protestors in Tahrir Square and the demands of all Egyptians all over Egypt.
The protestors including the April 6 youth insist that this regime must leave immediately.
The blood of martyrs shed in the field of liberalization in many requires us to reject this comic speech, which Omar Soliman and the President released.
We refuse any negotiations until Mubarak and his regime leaves.
Our rights and demands which have not been implemented, and the blood of our martyrs are not negotiable.
