OPEN AL SHUHADA STREET – STEP BY STEP
Right now, the demonstration takes place demanding the opening of Al Shuhada Street, in Hebron. More than 300 demonstrators raise their voice for the end of Israel’s Apartheid, and against Zionist settlers. This demonstration is part of the Sixth International Campaign “Open Al Shuhada Street”, taking place between Februrary 19th-25th, including several activities in different countries.
Al Shuhada is a comercial street of Palestinian city Hebron (also known as Al-Khalil), in West Bank, occupied by Israel Amred Forces in 1994, and closed for Palestinian vehicles and pedestrians, forcing a large number of sellers to close their stores, and more than 15.000 people to leave their neighborhood, for some hundreds Israeli settlers to move there.
The campaign was launched yesterday, in São Paulo, Brazil, in CSP-Conlutas’ headquarters.

-13.20 Hebron Local time: Comrade Herbert’s report, participating of the demonstration in Hebron: “Demonstration was strongly repressed by Israel. We were in front of an Israel military gate, located in Al Shuhada Street. With no reason, Israeli military forces dropped 100 tear gas and moral effect bombs. Repression was unjustified and absurd. There were around 300 people demonstrating, among us a big percentage of youth. Palestinian people deserve to live with dignity and freedom. We have to condemn the fascist role of Israel, oppressing the Palestinian People!”. Check our video here:
