Actions are already taking place in Italy. It was performed a meeting in front of the Brazilian embassy in Milan, headed by the Cobas union, along with other trade unions and political organizations such as the Coordination No Austerity.
There is also an initiative to get support from football (soccer) fans (there are many in Europe who sympathize with the left) and to achieve it, it was published a call on a web page widely read by football fans (Durante la Coppa ci sara lotta). Besides this, the PdAC (Italian section of IWL), and other organizations such as Sinistra Anticapitalista (Anticapitalist Left), belonging to the so-called United Secretariat of the Fourth International have echoed the call made by the CSP-Conlutas’ leader Dirceu Travesso (Coppa del Mondo Brasile: Appello internazionale alla mobilitazione).
