Homage To Marta!

Sad news for the Brazilian people.

By CSP-Conlutas Media Workgroup

The National Women’s Football Team lost for France 2×1 in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France on June 23.

The fact is, however, that the Brazilian women football players must go against the current.

For 40 years – 1941-1981, women were forbidden from playing football.

Currently there is neither national championship nor regular national team.

Even so the Brazilian women’s national team, likewise the men’s national team, has played all World Cups since the first edition in 1991.

Furthermore, its main player, the superstar Marta, elected six times the best football player in the world, stroke her 17th goal in World Cups, and became the striker number one in both women and men’s World Cups, ahead of players like Neymar, Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pelé or Maradona.

The picture shows Marta kissing her boots for equal rights for women football players!

We congratulate Marta and all the Brazilian national team for their struggle for equal rights!
