For an international Campaign for the nationalisation without indemnity of Hydrocarbons in Latin America.
(We are now publishing the resolutions of the proposal to the Continental Encounter in La Paz in August 2005)
9. With this in mind we propose that the Continental Encounter of La Paz should resolve to launch a campaign with two aspects. First, an international campaign in support of the main struggle of the Bolivian people: the nationalisation of gas without indemnity against imperialist companies and Petrobrás. The Bolivian revolutionary process is today the most outstanding point on the continent and the one that most clearly poses this claim.
10. At the same time we propose to launch a great continental campaign for the nationalisation without indemnity of the hydrocarbons of all Latin America. That means to fight, for example, for returning to the Argentine YPF its character of state owned company, the nationalisation with no reimbursement of the imperialist companies, such as Repsol, Chevron Texaco, Shell, Exxon, etc and the expropriation of all their installations, the invalidation of all the contracts by means of which the wealth of the peoples of all the continent has been handed over to imperialists, recovery of areas under lease or given away as property and all their working tools, etc. This proposal aims at forming a great movement and encouraging a great continental mobilisation in defence of the wealth and the sovereignty of our countries against imperialism.
