It is a fact of incalculable value that workers of different countries can meet, can discuss the situation of each space as well as globally, to ponder on how to express mutual solidarity and carry out common struggles to be able to agree on to a common strategy and so plan the corresponding tactics.
When we think of the world offensive of the imperialist multinationals supported by local governments in their service, when one knows the what the aim of these ruling classes is and of their lackey officials, coordinated, thinking and planning together not only to grab what has already been achieved in salaries, labour condition or old-age pensions, to steal our natural resources such our land, but also how to keep on carrying this offensive to unforeseeable levels, when we can concretely feel the brutal violence with which they carry out their feat. the importance of this encounter tends to become an absolute need, of growing urgency.
The mutual support among workers, the collective insight into this global attack that can use us individually as targets and all of us, in our globality, as dominated labour, demands in these days more than ever before, a coordination, a sharing of the theory and practice, so as to shake off this fatal yoke that is planning annihilate us definitely as human beings.
The encounter will certainly no immediately produce final planning nor does it pretend to turn this situation of oppression overnight up side down. Perhaps there will be contradictions and difficulties that the very situation of oppression accumulates on us, to be solved gradually and very patiently and with all the force that is characteristic to us, the workers. But it is sure to bear in the deepest of its womb the seed of our future victory.
In this enormous struggle that we have to face, no matter how capable the working class, the one that directly confronts capital, will not be strong enough to carry it out alone. We need the mobilisation of all the other workers, the craftsmen and the smallholders who are also dominated and exploited, of small salesmen and saleswomen, of the unemployed, of workers of public services, of healthcare, education, of the organised youth, of women, of the neighbourhoods, of the peasant districts. of all of us, the people. Not only because we actually are one in the face of this declaration of overt war, but also because we all suffer the domination and the violent repression in force. Exploitation and looting and other robbery committed by capitalism also affect then one way or another.
Unity of the working class, intimate fraternity of the working classes, unity of the peoples of the entire region of South America and the Caribbean: of the same global history, of the sole and only future.
But there is more. This encounter opens the great possibility of structuring our field: propose workers as the central column of our mobilising force, under the leadership of the working class, historic antagonism of Capital. Let the flower rain! The brave will touch the earth. Final victory is ours.
