June 14: The First General Strike Against Bolsonaro Administration

In Brazil, a tremendous one-day general strike shook more than 300 hundred cities across all 26 States and the Federal District.

Teachers and students were the core of the national day of action.
Thousands of schools and universities did not work.
Transport workers also brought mass transit to a halt, partially or totally, in 21 capitals and many other major cities.
Industrial workers, public and bank employees crossed their arms as well.
People’s organizations blocked major roads across the nation.
The general strike was called by all 8 labor federations to stop to pension reform and education budget cuts.
Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro together with a majority in national parliament and corporate media are doing their best to pass the pension reform.
At the same time, famous journalist Glenn Greenwald have been bringing into the public leaked Telegram messages between the current powerful Minister for Justice Sergio Moro and public prosecutors plotting wrongdoings.
CSP-Conlutas stands for uniting all the working classes to stop the pension reform, budget cuts and far-right President Bolsonaro.
