We extract the main part of one of those debates\u00a0in\u00a01982, which is still valid for the current Greek situation.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe main point which opposes \u00a0opportunists to revolutionaries, and revisionism toTrotskyism nowadays, <em>has\u00a0to do with the policies\u00a0regarding\u00a0this type of government. [\u2026] they\u00a0oppose\u00a0in\u00a0<strong>three fundamental aspects<\/strong>. The first is that [\u2026] opportunists are characterized by giving their\u00a0<strong>support to the popular front government<\/strong>. This support can be\u00a0<strong>open or\u00a0<\/strong><strong>veiled<\/strong><\/em>;\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>it can be\u00a0to\u00a0the government&#8217;s\u00a0measures or by not opposing clearly\u00a0those\u00a0measures\u2026 As opposed to that, Trotskyism is characterized by not giving any kind of support, under any circumstance,\u00a0neither\u00a0to the government nor to its measures. This does not mean that it does not defend those measures when they are attacked by the counter-revolution.\u00a0<\/em><em>[\u2026]<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;In\u00a0the\u00a0second place, the opportunists are characterized by having a\u00a0<strong>complicit<\/strong><strong>\u00a0silence about the government<\/strong>. They do not denounce it as a bourgeois government and, as every bourgeois government, counter-revolutionary. That is to say,\u00a0<strong>there is no policy to systematically denounce\u00a0<\/strong>the government, of opposing and confronting it. The revolutionary, instead, systematically denounces the bourgeois and counter-revolutionary government;\u00a0he\u00a0claims not to believe in any of its promises\u00a0or\u00a0measures.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;In\u00a0the\u00a0third place, the opportunist is characterized by not raising slogans of power as the center of his policy and agitation.
