Carlos Andr\u00e9s Perez, 27 years old, was sentenced for two years in jail without parole for joining protests against the fiscal plan in Costa Rica.

\nPerez has been under arrest since September 11, 2018.
\nFurthermore, his sentence predicts that he cannot work for any public company for ten years.
\nPerez works for the state-owned oil refinery RECOPE in the city of Moin, on the Atlantic coast whose workers took part in the protests.
\nHe has become the first political prisoner in Costa Rica for decades.
\nThere are still 15 activists on trial.
\nCSP-Conlutas stands for the right to organize and to demonstrate.
