After the #EleN\u00e3o (#NotHim) phenomenon in the social networks, rejection against candidate Jair Bolsonaro will take the streets this Saturday (29). In different Brazilian cities, and even abroad, demonstrations are scheduled against the PSL candidate and his male chauvinistic speech, of hatred against women and disdain of democracy. <\/em>

\nFacebook already registered over 100 events summoned in Brazilian capitals, in inland cities in several states, and abroad, like in Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra (Portugal), Berlin and Munich (Germany), Paris and Lyon (France), Galway (Ireland), Barcelona (Spain), Sidney and Gold Coast (Australia), London (England), and The Hague (Holland), among others.
\nArtists and Supporter Clubs against \u201cIt\u201d<\/strong>
\nBesides women in general and feminist movements, several artists are also mobilizing and calling to the demonstrations this Saturday. Actors, singers and bloggers are recording videos explaining why people should join the #elen\u00e3o campaign and calling women to participate in the demonstration. In the video, other three women are challenged to do the same.
\n\u201cI did my video calling all women for the demonstration on the 29. Let us say together #elen\u00e3o! Let us reaffirm democracy, equality, freedom, and above all love!\u201d posted actor Sophie Charlotte.
\nChallenged by Maria Gadu, the Sertanejo singer Mar\u00edlia Mendon\u00e7a published in her account a video with over 1 million views. \u201cBecause in the end, it is not a matter of political choice, it is a matter of good judgment!\u201d
\nSoccer supporter clubs also took a standing, like Gavi\u00f5es da Fiel, of the Corinthians team, the Torcida Jovem, of the Santos team, Palmeiras Antifacista and Palmeiras Livre clubs, supporters of Flamengo and the Internacional.
\nHatred Speech<\/strong>
\nWomen are organizing demonstrations, but men will also join them. The demonstrations will take place in a movement of growing rejection to the candidate and his campaign, which gathers a series of repulsive attacks on women, black, Quilombolas<\/em> (Maroon populations), natives, poor and favelados<\/em> (who live in poor neighborhoods).
\nThe most recent attack took place in Recife (Pernambuco) on Sunday (23). Reproducing Bolsonaro\u2019s speech, his campaign supporters organizes a \u201cFamily March\u201d in the Pernambuco capital. The demonstration had the soundtrack of a parody of the Baile de Favela (Favela Dance) funk music, where women who did not vote for Bolsonaro were compared to \u201cbitches\u201d. \u201cFor feminists, animal food in a bowl. Right-wing chicks are the best, the most beautiful, as left-wing ones are harrier than bitches\u201d, said a part of the lyric.
\nLast week, Bolsonaro\u2019s vice-president, General Mour\u00e3o declared that poor families \u201care like mother and grandmother\u201d they are \u201cfactories of misfits\u201d. Expressing complete disrespect and prejudice against millions of women who worthily are head of households and raise their children and grandchildren in the country.
\nThe statements are similar to Bolsonaro\u2019s very words. He already said that \u201can ugly woman does not deserve to be raped\u201d, that he \u201cfaltered\u201d when he had a daughter, that women should earn less than men, and all without taking into consideration the defense of torturers from the dictatorship, an apology to violence against gays, among other absurdities.
\n\u201cNext 29, women will once again lead a significant political movement in the country. We will go to the streets to fight a project that openly naturalizes male chauvinism and reinforces the use of this ideology to further exploit women and other oppressed sectors of the working class,\u201d stated Marcela Azevedo, member of MML (Women in Struggle Movement).
\n\u201cIn all, we know that this project goes beyond a single face. Masked or unmasked, this project is held by anyone who maintains his actions in the framework of capitalism and does not point to the need of building a socialist society to actually guarantee women\u2019s emancipation and the liberation of black, LGBTs and the entire class.\u201d
\n\u201cTherefore, from the MML, we will build with all our strength the demonstrations next Saturday, to defeat IT (o Coiso), but also to make a calling to women not to trust on the \u201clesser evil\u201d, and not to accept anything less than our rights, which have been historically denied,\u201d she stated.
