The struggle of the Industrial working class in Mexican city of Matamoros takes another step.

They presented independent working class candidates in four electoral districts against the main bourgeois parties.
Mexican authorities, under threat of workers´ performance, announced that their candidacies were not in good standing for not meeting electoral deadlines.
On the elections´ day, June 2, the bosses did not allow workers to leave to vote in many plants.
Even under such conditions, the workers got impressive 20% turnout in average ending in 3rd place in all four districts.
These elections are very important step.
Mexico in under the rule of president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, known as AMLO, and his party, called “MORENA”.
AMLO is shown by the media as leftwing but in reality it is only another bourgeois administration committed to the international agreements with America.
The workers in Matamoros learned that no bourgeois party will stand for their rights.
They are right.
The emancipation of the working class will be conquered by the working classes themselves.
