The political atmosphere after the July 15 coup attempt in Turkey proved correct that the prediction about AKP try to turn this atmosphere to opportunity for strengthen to its powers. Government is not only targeting members of the former allied Fethullah Gulen organization, also start targeting the Kurdish movement and anyone standing close to him. Only [in the] education union, which belongs to Leftists (Eğitim-Sen), more than 10 thousand teachers have been laid off in accordance with the laws of the state of emergency. The attack will not be limited to the unions; the universities and political organizations expect to be targeted, spreading attacks in comprehensive manner.
Parallel to the process of the restrictions in all areas of the bourgeois democracy, it continues to target revolutionaries. Police attacked June Movement members while they [were] distributing leaflets about defending secularism. Our allies and friends from June Movement, including HTKP Leader Erkan Baş and ODP Provincial Chairman Deniz Demirdöğen, 15 people [were] taken into custody under torture. They [were] held under arrest [for] two days by police without any reason.
On the same process, leftist hacker group called “RedHack” began to publish important documents from Berat Albayrak’s personal mail address, who [is] carrying out the Department of Energy and groom of Erdoğan. RED Movement’s news site, Redaktif.com was shut down by the government because we are making news about it. Also a detention decision was issued about the well known name of the RED Movement by the public, Hakan Gülseven. All of the defendants in the case have no connection with RedHack, [those are] known names recognized as revolutionary by public opinion, and case [was] carried out as a terrorist operation by government. Their lawyers can not reach them and their files because of political pressure. When they could talk with their lawyers, they informed about torture which they lived under arrest. The possibility of the AKP can use this case as a weapon against opponents [is] increasing.
Processing shape of the post-coup political atmosphere in Turkey, process ongoing to completely more reactionary AKP political power and oppression to the arbitration, it takes the steps to radicalize the masses. Nevertheless, despite following the monetarist policy and neo-liberal policies to have focused on tying for happiness of markets, their neo-liberal policies are on edge. Similarly, [there is an] ongoing battle with PKK on north of Kurdistan region and intervene to Syria because of claims about Rojava shows [that the] steps taken for Syria policy [are] going to expand the war, as hard as a country and government will face with torubles. The tidal relations ongoing with the imperialist powers.
Against this background, June Movement [is] trying to knit the broad front that can be created without compromising their own programs and policies against increasing oppressions.
