President Bolsonaro said that one of the disappeared activists named Fernando Santa Cruz was murdered by his own comrades.

The fact is, however, that documents of the Ministry for Aeronautics state that Fernando Santa Cruz was under arrest of the security forces on February 23, 1974 when he was killed.

Forty years later, in 2014, Claudio Guerra, a security official, recognized that Fernando Santa Cruz body was incinerated in the city of Campos in Rio de Janeiro state by security forces.

Therefore, the Truth Commission, an official body which investigates the disappeared and the murdered by the Brazilian State, issued an official Death Certificate recognizing that the Brazilian State murdered Fernando Santa Cruz.

The president of the Brazilian Lawyer’s Association and Fernando Santa Cruz only son, Felipe Santa Cruz, sent a request for the Brazilian Supreme Court demanding President Bolsonaro to declare whatever he knows.

The Supreme Court gave President Jair Bolsonaro 15 days to take a stand on the issue.
